Become an Administrative Remedy Writer

Administrative remedy writing is the foundation of The Remedy Project’s work. To become a remedy writer, you must complete a training course, and then commit to at least 6 months of remedy writing for TRP. Becoming a remedy writer is our most popular opportunity, but not one to take lightly. Remedies have strict timelines, and our members depend on our timeliness and consistency. Click “I’m interesting in Remedy Writing” and we will email you instructions on how to enroll in our training course.

Join or Start a Campus-Based Chapter

Chapters are the engine of The Remedy Project movement. Chapter students organize actions for our members, build our network of leaders and supporters, and educate their campus communities about the human rights crisis behind bars. If there is an active chapter at your school, you can select your school on the form to the right and someone from the chapter will contact you. If you’re interested in starting a chapter at your school, please contact admin@theremedyproj.org

Become a National Volunteer

We have a diverse and active network of national volunteers who work remotely and in-person at our New York City office in leading The Remedy Projects national efforts. All national volunteers must attend an orientation before joining the organization. If you’re interested in becoming a national volunteer, select “National Volunteer” and orientation information will be emailed to you.

Become a Mentor

We are always recruiting more formerly incarcerated jailhouse lawyers, prison paralegals, and law clerks to join our team and mentor our students. Select “I would like to mentor” and we will contact you about current volunteer and paid opportunities.
